The first thing you need is a static IP address that belongs to the PC to which the camera is connected. IP stands for Internet protocol. It is a number that has been assigned to each computer in a network, and it is completely unique. 



It is called a static IP address because it does not change over time. By contrast, the IP address that is dynamic can change quite often. 



If you have a non-routable IP address, the broadcasting will not work as the non-routable IP address does not work over the Internet. 



You can only connect with this type of address over the local network. You can ask your network professional what type of IP address you have if you are not sure. 



It may still be possible to broadcast live video from a non-routable address by reconfiguring the network router so that it uses “port forwarding.”

Right-click on the camera preview and choose “edit camera” and then choose “broadcast.” 



This will give you access to the broadcasting settings window. The selection of a profile is based on the speed of your Internet connection and on the “upstream” of your Internet connection. 



Review broadcast from IP address will drop town, and you will be able to see all the IP addresses configured for your computer. From the list, select the IP address which you want to use for a live broadcast. 



The port number will be automatically filled in by the WebCam Monitor; however, you can choose a different port if you so wish.

How To Access Laptop/PC Camera Remotely?

Generally, it is considered that it is almost impossible to upgrade the laptop’s graphics card. Even if you find a way, it may take you too much time and effort to be worth it. 



Also, if you decide to do it, you will most probably have to order the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graphics_processing_unit" data-type="URL" data-id="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graphics_processing_unit" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">GPU </a>from an online shop, which can be unreliable. And, even if you manage to install it correctly and it works properly at first, there is a small chance that it will blow up after several weeks of use.



However, if you still want to take the risk of upgrading your graphics card, then the Canadian laptop seller Eurocom may have a solution for you. Several years ago, they started offering upgrade kids to their consumers, so let us see if it actually works.



<h3>Manage your expectations</h3>



First of all, if you believe that by swapping out the graphics card, you will be able to convert your thin laptop into a gaming beast, then I have got some bad news for you. That is unlikely to happen. 



Majority of upgrades offered by Eurocom target big <a href="https://dreamlaptops.com/how-to-fix-laptop-overheating-when-playing-games/" data-type="post" data-id="151" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">gaming laptops</a> that are on the verge of not being portable. This is because the majority of the upgrades offered by the company is designed for the big laptops manufactured by Clevo. It is the most common manufacturer, although it is not the only one.



For the purposes of this experiment, we will be using the Eurocom P150EM, more commonly known as the Clevo 150EM. Before you actually go on with the physical upgrade, there are a few things that you should check off your list.



The first thing you need to do is check whether the company actually sells the graphics processing unit that is compatible with your laptop. In addition to the Alienware units, you want them to also support Clevo units. 



Once you have found the GPU that is appropriate for your laptop, it is important to read the fine print. It may say that you need a certain level BIOS on your laptop, and you might also need a power brick that is on a certain level too. 



If your laptop has all of these features, then it is time to uninstall the Nvidia drivers. Next, shut down the laptop, unplug it from the power source and pull out the battery. Eurocom warns its customers and says that you should take ESD precautions and wear a grounding strap when you do this. After you have removed the screws, you can slide off the bottom cover of the laptop. You will see one more door that covers a 2.5-inch drive. You should have full access to CPU and GPU by just opening the main hatch.



<h3>Removing the heat pipes</h3>



The next step is removing three screws on the GPU core from the heat pipe. This will give you access to the GPU. There are three more pipes on the voltage regulators on the RAM. 



In case you don’t know what heat pipes are, they are cooling mechanisms that blow cool air and expel heat. In total, you have to remove seven screws, and once all of them have been removed from the heat pipes, you will see paper tabs attached to the pipes; go ahead and gently pull them off. 



Don’t be alarmed if it seems that the pipes are stuck to the GPU. This may be happening because of the melted thermal paste. There’s a seal of the thermal paste that may be broken if you gently rock the pipes back-and-forth, but be careful not to overdo it on you can damage them.



Once both of the heat pipes have been moved, you should have access to the MXM module. You have to also remove the two hex-shaped nuts. To do this, you can either use a crescent wrench, a pair of pliers, a box wrench, or a flat-head screwdriver. When you can see that the nuts are loose, you can take them out using your fingers.



The module should now come out of the slot if you gently rock it up at an angle. It is almost like a big RAM in the way it slips in and out of the slot. The unit kit may include a mobile PCI Express module, or MXM module, two heat pipes and screws, and offsets for your GPU. Even if most of the offsets and screws look the same, you might want to use new ones just to be on the safe side.



<h3>The process of installing the new 980 M card</h3>



It is similar to installing RAM. You just have to take your connector and slide it partway into the slot and slightly push it to ensure that it is seated. After you have done this, you can insert the two hex nuts that you removed previously and tighten them with your flat head screwdriver just a little bit, to prevent them from backing off. 



Next, you need to install the heat pipes that were previously moved. Be careful not to make a typical rookie mistake of leaving the protective plastic cover on thermal paste. Typically the graphics upgrade kit which you will receive from Eurocom will come with the thermal pad already applied to the heat pipe all you need to do is remove the plastic covering. 



Be very careful when installing the heat pipe. The core of the GPU is directly exposed to maximize the cooling effect, so if you Pressed down a bit too hard and chip a bit of the edge, it will be destroyed. In order to avoid damaging the core, the screws that are used for the heat spreader are quite small. You must proceed with extreme caution at this stage. 



Once you have installed everything, you can put the bottom cover back on the laptop. Next, install the battery you removed and plug it into the power source, allow it to power up. If you did everything correctly, your laptop should be able to power up without a problem and boot into Windows.

How To Replace The Graphics Card In A Laptop?

If you have a getaway laptop and it will not boot Windows, or it keeps crashing, it is a sign that it is time for a reset. Initially, you can try a system restore. The system restore will try to take your laptop back to the point when it was functioning as it should be. 



It is generally a good idea to try the system restore first because if it works, you will not lose all of your data. If this method doesn’t work on your Getaway laptop, then you can use the Windows installation disk or the recovery manager to take your Getaway laptop back to its factory settings.



But first, let’s have a look at how to do the system restore. Firstly you need to understand what the system restore function does. By activating this process, you will be rolling back your driver&#8217;s programs and system settings back to the previous date (that you chose). 



You will be attempting to restore the system, and take it back to the time when it was functioning properly. Doing system restore does not delete your data or documents, but unfortunately, all of the programs that were installed between the point in the past you chose and the current moment will be deleted from your laptop. It is recommended to try the steps first because you will not need to back up your data.



To do with the system restore, restart your laptop, and as soon as the computer starts booting up, hold down the F 8 key. You will see that the advanced boot options will load on your screen. Option number 6 says, &#8220;enable the safe mode with command prompt&#8221;; click on it. You will see some files appearing, and after a few moments, the command prompt will open up.



Next, you will need to open the system restore utility box. Keep in mind that this command may be slightly different if your laptop runs on Windows XP.



Next, choose the date from the available list, try to choose the date before your computer had problems, and click next. This process may take several minutes to finish, and after it has, you must allow your computer to reboot. If the process has been performed correctly, then Windows will display a message informing you that your system has been restored successfully.



Next, you will need to reinstall the programs that have been deleted, but be careful! One of those programs may have been the cause of the problem you were having with your laptop.



Suppose your laptop runs on Windows 8, then it may load too fast for you to access the advanced boot options. In this case, you can move your mouse to the corner of the screen and open the Charms bar through Windows. Next, you need to click on the Settings and then click on the Power. Press down the Shift key and click on restart. This will make your computer reboot and open the advanced boot options.



If this method doesn’t solve your problem, then you will need to reset your laptop back to its factory settings.



<h2>How to reset your laptop?</h2>



If it is possible, you should back up your data first, because factory-resetting your getaway will delete all of the existing data on your hard drive, so if you have some important files on your laptop, try to back them up. If you cannot manage to boot into Windows, then you should try using the Linux Live CD to access your data and copy it onto an external drive. Make sure that your laptop is plugged into a power outlet because this process takes a while, and losing charge in the middle of it will disrupt the process, and you may need to start all over again.



Next, reboot your laptop, and as soon as the Acer or Gateway logo appears, press the ALT and F 10 keys. They may fail to register the first time you press them, so just keep pressing until they do. This process will bring up the recovery manager, and you may be prompted to press &#8220;enter&#8221; by the menu. One of the options will say “completely restore the system to factory defaults”; click on it. You may be asked more than once to confirm that you want to proceed. During this process, all of your data will be erased, and the Windows and all of the programs that came with your laptop will be reinstalled. The process can take up to an hour to finish, so be patient.



The next step is creating a new Windows account and configuring your settings.



You will not be able to access the recovery manager if you have installed a new hard drive onto your laptop or have formatted the hard drive before. In this case, you will have to use a recovery disk to wipe the computer clean and reinstall the operating system.



Keep in mind that restoring the laptop settings doesn’t necessarily fix the problem. If you have reinstalled Windows and the problem still hasn’t gone away, the hardware component is likely to blame. In this case, you may be able to solve this problem by installing a new RAM or installing a new hard drive.



Try to locate your existing recovery disk, but if you can’t, you can order a new one from Gateway. Alternatively, you can use a Windows installation disk. But the version of Windows needs to be the same that is installed on your laptop currently.



Start by rebooting your computer, and as soon as the Gateway or Acer logo appears, repeatedly press the F 12 key. This will give you access to the boot menu. You may need to change the boot order.



Next, you need to save your settings and reboot your laptop; keep in mind that the USB drive or the Windows installation disk needs to be inserted during this process. You will be prompted to press a key, and if you have been using a recovery disk, you will see the recovery manager on the screen, in which case you can refer to the previous section to see what to do next. If you have been using the Windows installation disk, then this will be the start of the Windows set-up process.



After you have chosen your preferred language, you will be prompted to either press “install now” or “install windows.” The installation will start from scratch erasing all of your existing data.



You will see the partitions of the hard drive; you will need to select and delete them all. Pick the remaining partition for your installation. Now all you have to do is wait for the installation to finish, which will usually take around half an hour. 



You will be able to keep an eye on the entire process via your screen. Once the installation has finished, you will need to type in your Windows product key, which consists of 25 characters (it is usually written on the sticker, which can be found on the bottom of your laptop or in the documentation of your computer). If you cannot locate your product key, you can always contact the Gateway for that information.



The final step is downloading all of the necessary drivers from support.gateway.com. On this website, you can enter your computer&#8217;s information and install all the software that you need.
